Father’s Day Tournament Update
The weather for the Father’s Day Tournament, Sunday, June 19 at 8 AM at Locust Park, is looking fantastic!
At this time, in addition to dads playing with their sons or daughters and dads playing with other dads, we are opening up the tournament to women's doubles, mixed doubles, and men’s doubles, i.e., you don’t have to be a dad to play in the tournament. We are also opening the tournament to individuals who do not have partners. If a player registers without a partner, we will try to match the player up with another player who has also registered without a partner.
By the way, if a Dad has more than one son or daughter who would like to play in the tournament, please send me a message and we can try to work something out.
Registration will close Friday evening so that we have a chance to set up the tournament groups and send more detailed information to the participants on Saturday. The maximum number of players in this tournament will be 40 or 20 teams.
We are also in need of a few more volunteers to help with the logistics of running the tournament, including setting up and taking down nets, keeping score, etc. Please let me know if you can help.
