The Columbia Association is now offering pickleball instruction sessions at the Owen Brown Center in May and June for novice, intermediate and advanced levels. Here is the information to attend one of these sessions. Spring/Summer 2021 Pickleball Program The Pickleball Program has offerings for all skill levels and ages. We are offering day & evening classes. Classes consist of skill-building, technical refinement, and match play, depending on the class. Program Dates: May 4 - June 29: Owen Brown Tennis Club All CA Members 1 hr $75/5 class pack or $150/10 class pack Columbia Cardholders/Non-Members 1 hr $100/5 class pack or $200/10 class pack Skill Levels Novice- This player is just learning the game and may or may not have a sports background. Limited knowledge of scoring and trying to keep the ball in play. Advanced- This player is developing the use of shots including selection and timing. Has the ability to understand strategy while improving game plan development Intermediate- This player has dependable strokes but lacks consistency and solid strategy. This player is working on court positioning and effective strategies. . Courts will have no more than 4 players on them.
