National Grandparents Day PB Event - Our association is partnering with Columbia Association to help celebrate National Grandparents Day with a special "Play with your Grandparent" Pickleball session planned for Sunday, Sept 8th from 4 pm to 7pm. CA is hosting this at the Owen Brown Tennis Club PB courts and HCPA is donating money to purchase pizza's for the attendees. We are hoping some of our members would be willing to support this effort. We setup a Doodle to track how many members were planning to attend. The doodle link is:

Organized Play Changes - With the kids going back to school soon and the gyms re-starting their picleball programs our organized play schedule will be changing. As of Sept. 9th, we will no longer be playing on Monday and Friday mornings, however, all other days will remain the same.
Also starting on Sept. 9th is the indoor drop-in session at the Chapelgate Christian Academy gym starting at 7 pm. We will be posting a doodle for our members & Chapelgate's congregation to sign-up for the 24 slots we are offering. This will prevent over crowding on the four courts we intend to setup. The doodle will be posted the week before and a notice will be sent out.
New Player Instruction - Barry is once again leading our new player instruction - Welcome back Barry. If you know of anyone who would like to learn PB for free, have them go to our Instruction page and click on the link to register as a new player. Barry maintains a email distribution list of all new players so he can communicate with them directly; which minimizes the emails sent to other members. Barry will obtain the information from that form and add them to his list. He sends out the new player instruction dates and times directly to the folks on that list weekly.
