HCPA Organized Play - Revised - Due to some confusion with my last email, I wish to revise our outdoor drop-in pickleball schedule. Now that Owen Brown Tennis Club is open for all our members to play at (due to CA closing for the season but not locking it up); we will be using this during the week for all our drop-in sessions. We are establishing the following drop-in sessions:
Monday, Tuesday & Thursday mornings - all skill levels - general start time is 10 am but if it appears to be too cold we may adjust the time (check the website home page flash news line). For Wed. & Friday mornings - recommend going to North Laurel Community Center.
Tuesday & Thursday evenings - all skill levels - target start time is 5 pm but come when you can. The lights should come on before it gets dark.
Saturday mornings - New player to intermediate recreation play will remain at the Oakland Mills Ice Rink courts with start time of around 10 am (weather permitting). The intermediate to advanced players will consolidate at the Owen Brown Tennis Club PB courts also starting at 10 am.
This coming Saturday, November 9th, will be an exception due to our individual tournament being held at OBTC that morning. Anyone not participating in the tournament can play at the Oakland Mills Ice Rink courts. The tournament will be setting up around 9 am and starting play at 10 am.
